GTPlus absorbs most hydrocarbons and other types of liquid substances before they reach the ground surface, yet permits water to pass through. Designed specifically for locomotive refueling and ready-station sites, GTPlus absorbent track mats are also effective for leak and drip control underneath most types of rolling stock and track maintenance equipment.

GTPlus absorbent track mats can absorb over 12 times their weight while retaining strength for removal and disposal. GTPlus's active material is a very absorbent, melt-blown polypropylene, needle-punch bonded to a top layer of non-woven polypropylene geotextile, that provides strength and tear resistance as well as ultraviolet protection. The GTPlus absorbent track mat standard kit consists of a 58-inch wide gauge module and two 19-inch wide field modules, all 100 feet in length, that are simply nailed or stapled to the ties.  In applications  consisting of concrete or steel ties, the GTPlus is attached to lumber (treated two-by-fours) placed in the crib. GTPlus absorbent track mats are made in the USA and are available for immediate delivery. They also are available in custom sizes made to your specifications. GTPlus absorbent track mats were designed to be an inexpensive solution to soil and ballast contamination, so when saturated just remove, dispose of properly and replace with a fresh new GTPlus.
