Portec Rail Retarders
Portec Rail retarders are used for accurately positioning cars in spot repair systems. Operated from the central control panel, the retarders have spot, open and closed positions.
Electronically-controlled, these pneumatic retarders have an effective spotting distance of 11 feet and develop a stopping force of 7,000 lbs. per foot.
